
RETAIL MANAGER

We’re looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual to manage our 40 Acre Farm market booth at Granary Road. This booth features fresh produce, farm eggs, preserves, and a rotating selection of locally-sourced products—as well as our Ice Cream Shop! The Retail Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the booth’s daily operations, from sales to inventory management, staff training, and product quality. This is a hands-on leadership role perfect for someone who loves food, farms, and taking initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily operations of the 40 Acres booth and Ice Cream Shop

Handle all sales of produce, eggs, preserves, and seasonal/local goods

Oversee and maintain produce subscription orders

Train and supervise booth staff

Ensure product quality and freshness
-
Maintain accurate inventory records and restock as needed

Source new products that align with our brand and customer interests

Ensure compliance with all Alberta Health Services (AHS) food safety guidelines

Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming booth environment

Handle opening and closing duties

Communicate regularly with the Operations Manager

Qualifications:
-
Experience in retail, food service, or market sales preferred
-
Strong organizational and leadership skills
-
Ability to take initiative and work independently

Comfortable with basic record-keeping and inventory tracking
-
Knowledge of AHS food handling requirements an asset (training can be provided)

Reliable, punctual, and committed through end of December
-
Must be available Friday through Sunday and one weekday for prep

Must have transportation as we are located out of the City Limits

Position Details:

Schedule: Friday to Sunday, 9:45 AM – 5:15 PM + one weekday for prep work

Contract Length: Now through end of December

Wage: $18/hour
